I'm back

It has been a REALLY long time since I have posted. It would be impossible for me to catch up because I am so far behind. I am going to just take it from here. It's spring break and we are all thrilled to be out of school. ALL the kids have been sick off and on for what seems like forever, so hopefully we can all get well this week! Please keep our friends the Hamric's in your prayers as they are going through an extremely difficult time right now. I will get some pictures up tomorrow.

End of May

Me and Ashlyn

Ashlyn and Mylee

Gosh where did the month of May go?? It's long gone I know that! We stayed super busy. We have started going to the pool. I don't let the girls get in yet because the water is still too cool. Mind you my 5 month olds are still in the 10 pound range. What does this mean? It means they don't have the body fat to maintain their body temperature and get cold very easily. Let's stay away from hypothermia :) They like putting their feet in though. Caden and Ashlyn are loving it though. We have also babysat Mylee quite a bit this month. I have kept her since she was 5 weeks old...she is 6 now! Ashlyn and Mylee did a lemonade stand this past weekend, and they made $8! Quite a few cars stopped by :) One of best friend, Ashley's little girl, Brooklyn turned one and we went to her party. Ashley made all the kids little "Yabba Gabba" onsies with their names on the front and logs on the bottoms! Super cute. There were 7 little girls there that were all born in 2008! Also Maddie and Abbie (especially) have found their feet. It is adorable. The girls are still doing good with the solids too. We are going to start fruits this week which I am sure they will like instead of peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, and carrots over and over. Here are some pictures too! :) Love to you all and hopefully I will get to post more often!

The girls had their pictures done with our friend, Kimberly. They cooperated so well. I don't have all the proofs back yet, but here is a sneak peak.

Mother's Day

In Jerald's squad car
Girls at Grandmother Joys

Dinner at Covino's

G-mamma, Ashlyn, and Abbie

Abbie eating sweet potatoes

This year Mother's Day was just perfect. We celebrated a little early at Jerald's grandparents Thursday night. It was nice to see the family and the kids had a blast as usual. Plus it was nice to see Ashlyn during the week since we usually only get to see her every other weekend. Grand-mamma (Jerald's grandma) cooked a wonderful dinner, and we spent several hours out there catching up. Caden played on the tractor. G-mamma pushed the girls around in the stroller. Ashlyn rode her scooter around outside in the drive. While G-mamma was pushing the girls in the stroller, Abbie was in the front and Maddie in the back. G-mamma told Maddie she was the "backseat driver" That baby got so tickled! Now anytime you say "backseat driver" she thinks its just hilarious. Gosh these girls really are growing into little people. They were a little fussy thought because they had their four-month check up and each got shots. Caden got his four year old shots too :( Tough morning...let me tell ya. The girl's pediatrician said that they could start solids, so they had sweet potatoes at G-mammas house for the first time. On Sunday, I left the house at midnight and went to meet Jerald at work. I rode with him in his squad car until 5 AM when he got off. Then we came home, took a nap. Got up at 12 and went to my step-dads, mothers house for lunch. It was nice to see my mom and everyone over there. After that we came home and took another long nap. When we woke up around 8, Jerald rushed us out the door for a special dinner at Covino's. It was wonderful, and the kids put hand/foot prints on homeade cards for me. I loved it all! I love all my babies, and they each have a very special and unique place in my heart. I am a very proud mom!

"Baby and Me"

Today I took the girls to the Allen Public Library for their "Baby and Me" story time. My mom came too! :) She was excited to get away from her school (special ed middle school teacher) to have some baby time. Tina (another PAMOM, mom) came with her boy/girl twins Beckett and Preslee. They are only 2 1/2 weeks older than my girls, but as you can see much much bigger. Anyways...during the story time we sing lullabies, read books, listen to music, and do other baby related interaction stuff. The girls were alert the whole time, and smiled the whole time! I am sad because they won't start it back up again until August, but we can't wait!

Happy Easter!

Caden was so excited! :)

Neil and Katie with the girls

Ready for Easter Mom! :)

On Saturday, my dad and I took the girls and Caden to the Easter festival in downtown Plano. We had so much fun down there. There were tons of vendors and stands with activities for children. Some of these things included face painting, magicians, clowns, jump houses, and of course pictures with the Easter bunny. Caden and Madison did great, but Miss Abigail did not like the Easter bunny. I think she got set off wrong because she woke up just as I set her in his arms. So I can only imagine being 3 months old and waking up to a big white rabbit in my face. YIKES! :) Caden had a blast of course, and by the end of the day we were all exhausted. Jerald had to work unfortunately, so he missed out. Then, on Sunday Aunt Katie and Neil came over. They brought the kids some really great Easter baskets. Katie and I were also so happy that Neil held the babies. Might not seem big to you, but if you knew him this was a big step. haha :) Sorry Neil if you read this. After they left, I took the kids over to Caden's dad's parents house. We spent about an hour over there, then Caden went to his dad's for a couple hours. The girls and I went over to my girlfriend, Ashley's house. I felt very welcome and of course, everyone just ooed and awwed over the girls. I wish Jerald would not have had to work all weekend, but it turned out alright in the long run.

Pa and his 3 grand-daughters. He is so proud!

Last Friday, we took the girls to see their Pa. Pa is Jerald's dad, Jerry. We had a lot of fun over there. Pa made Ashlyn two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and she ate every single bite. The girls were wide awake and took some great pictures as you can see. Also, Ashlyn had a great time playing with the kids in Kay's (Jerry's wife) daycare. She keeps a lot of kids and has lots of arts and crafts. As always, Ashlyn thought of her daddy and made him a really cute little plate with glitter, hearts, and cotton balls. I am glad the kids are getting a chance to get to know all the sides of their family. Next weekend we are taking them to Cleburne to meet their Great-grandmother, Brooxie. I spoke with her on the phone this weekeend, and she seems like a really wonderful lady. I can't wait to meet her! :) Jerald is super excited and nervous too because he has not seen her in years. Later that night, my mom watched the kids and Jerald and I went out to dinner with Katie and Neil. Katie is Jerald's sister and Neil is her boyfriend :) We went to this really neat place in McKinney called Delaney's. Neil is good friends with the owner, so we got a little bit of special treatment with some free tee-shirts and appetizer. The food was great, and it was good for Jerald and I to get out and have some adult time. Katie is the best sister-in-law imaginable. We understand where each other are coming from, and over the last year have really grown into good friends.
